Granite Bay Pack 31

Pack 31 currently is made up of cub scouts from Granite Bay and East Roseville. Our focus is on fun and development.

We are fairly low-key. We usually hold one pack meeting a month, normally on the second Wednesday of each month unless we are doing an outdoor activity. See the Pack Events page for the current calendar. Here are some of the scouting year's highlights:

  • Rain Gutter Regatta - Scouts build a quick kit sail boat and decorate it, and then we turn the kids loose on gutters to race using their own lungs to propel the boats.

  • Operation Interdependence - Assemble care packages for soldiers overseas.

  • Pinewood Derby - Build, decorate, and race a car from a kit. Lots of other activities take place during race time, such as the popular Lego races.

  • Blue and Gold Banquet - Annual celebration of scouting.

  • Overnight - Recent trips have included the Monterey Bay Aquarium, USS Hornet, Chabot, California Academy of Sciences.

  • Climbing/Hiking - We often make it to Granite Arch or Pipe Works each year, as well as hiking at Folsom Lake.

Most dens also meet once a month.

Our charter organization is the Rotary Club of Granite Bay.

Parent Volunteers Make our Pack GO!

Our parents are active, too; we expect our parents to pitch in and volunteer several times at both the den level and the pack level. Please reach out to a leader on the contact page for information on ways you can help out.
